Recognised method of authorisation
On 19th od December, 2022 a Decree of the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic was issued, which establishes a recognized method of authorization.

New biometric ID cards in Slovakia
The new biometric ID cards will contain both facial images and fingerprints. You can apply for them from December 2022. The changes are based on the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU).
